EXTRA DATE Ethicurean Life & Elliott's - Fermenting Workshop & Lunch

£115.00
sold out

Saturday 22nd February 2025 (EXTRA DATE ADDED)

10am - 3.30pm

I’m delighted to welcome Nicola Cradock and Matthew Pennington of Ethicurean Life to my Studio next February for an immersive day of mastering the art of fermentation and nurturing your gut health. For 13 years, Nicola and Matthew co-owned and ran The Ethicurean, Bristol’s pioneering and multi award winning farm-to-fork restaurant. The couple recently relocated to Edinburgh so we’re very lucky to be able to tap into their expertise for the day within the relaxed setting of my Studio.

Arrive at 10am for tea, coffee and my seasonal baking then an introduction from the 3 of us.

Nicola and Matthew will then guide you through the 2 two key methods of fermentation - massage technique and brine fermenting. You’ll gain practical insight into the scientific principles behind these methods and acquire the essential tools and confidence to apply these processes to make endless ferments at home.

We'll help you with ingenious ways to incorporate these fermented delicacies into your daily meals, ensuring you derive maximum benefits from what you've learned while fostering invaluable habits that support your gut health.

The session will finish with a 3-course lunch and drinks by myself, including lots of Nicola and Matthew’s ferments and there’s the opportunity to shop the Elliott’s range of kitchenware. You’ll leave around 3.30pm with your meticulously crafted ferments, comprehensive class notes and a network of kindred food enthusiasts.

Just let me know of any dietary requirements when booking, can’t wait! Jess x
