My Studio is a former newsagents that I’ve carefully renovated to highlight the building’s original period features including the floorboards, fireplace, large butler sink, cornicing and a magnificent ceiling rose. In here, I host seasonal cookery demonstrations, pop-up markets and creative collaborations. Elliott’s Studio is my city home away from our home in the Scottish Borders - without the toys, wooden blocks and various obstacles that come with having a toddler!

The Studio is south-facing so we’re spoilt for natural light, year-round. It fits two rows of communal dining tables and I’ve designed the fully-fitted kitchen island with an overhead mirror, making it the ideal space to host cookery demonstrations and visiting food writers alongside my recipe writing projects.

I sell a range of Scottish-made jams, pickles and honey as well as ceramics, textiles and kitchenware from my Studio. On the days that I’m in, you can pop by to make a purchase, or you can order through our Online Shop for UK delivery. The occasional weekend markets I host are very well-attended, especially the Christmas shopping dates.

COOKERY DEMONSTRATION & LUNCH
Spring Series 2025

In this 3 hour cookery demo session, I’ll take you step by step through my Spring menu, using produce and foliage from my garden in the Scottish Borders and local growers.

Tasting each course as you go, you will learn the skills required to recreate each dish in your own kitchen, including guidance on how to choose and use the best of Spring’s produce in your home cooking.

You’ll pick up loads of handy tips and tricks from my many years of cooking at Elliott’s, writing cookbooks, testing food columns and food styling for commercials and TV.

My lunch menu is accompanied by a welcome snack and drink, natural wine on the table and an exclusive recipe booklet so you can confidently recreate the dishes at home. Tickets are £85.
