Jess has designed Elliott’s Studio as an extension of her home. It’s where she cooks, writes recipes and teaches.
Alongside a calendar of events with visiting artists and food writers, including a partnership programme with the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Jess hosts her series of cookery demonstration lunches in the space each season.
In these 3-hour sessions, Jess takes you step by step through her seasonal menu, using produce from local growers and her garden in the Scottish Borders.
Tasting each course as you go, you learn the skills required to recreate each dish in your own kitchen, including guidance on how to choose and use the best of season’s produce in your home cooking.
You’ll pick up loads of handy tips and tricks from Jess’s many years of cooking at Elliott’s, writing cookbooks, testing food columns and food styling for commercials and TV.
Her lunch menu is accompanied by a welcome snack and drink, natural wine on the table and a recipe booklet so that you can confidently recreate the dishes at home.
