My very talented friend, food writer and stylist Esther Clark (@esthermclark) is coming up from London so that we can cook a big festive lunch together for you all on Sunday 17th December. Esther is one of my favourite food writers and you’ll probably recognise lots of her work in Guardian Feast, The Modern House and many top-selling cookbooks. So it’s a real honour to have her in Edinburgh at such a busy time of year!

Tickets are £60 and our menu will be something along the lines of:

Quince Apéritif

Roasted Chestnuts and crispy rosemary

Carrots with spiced brown butter

Sage and hazelnut stuffed roast chicken, celeriac gratin and cider-braised Brussel tops

Steamed stem ginger sticky toffee pudding

Cheese, oatcakes and Armagnac-soaked prunes

Natural wines and home-made shrubs will be available to purchase by the glass.

Start time is 1pm, finishing around 4pm. There will be time for some last-minute Christmas shopping after lunch of course!
